What This Means
The Oregon Beer Awards aren’t participation trophies. Fewer than 9% of entries win medals, and categories like IPA and lagers are stacked with dozens of entries each.
Winning here means:
Technical excellence
Consistency at scale
And beers that stand out in one of the most competitive craft markets in the country
It also reinforces something we believe deeply at River Barrel - the best craft portfolios are built on breweries that can win anywhere.
Momentum Across the Portfolio
From Living Haus’ modern hop expression, to Alesong’s mastery of barrel-aging, to Zoiglhaus dialing in world-class traditional styles, this group represents exactly where craft beer is heading:
Precision lagers are rising
Barrel-aged programs are sharper than ever
Classic styles are back - and winning
And IPA innovation isn’t slowing down
Oregon continues to be one of the most influential beer regions in the country - and we’re proud to help bring these breweries into Washington.
