What This Means

The Oregon Beer Awards aren’t participation trophies. Fewer than 9% of entries win medals, and categories like IPA and lagers are stacked with dozens of entries each.

Winning here means:

  • Technical excellence

  • Consistency at scale

  • And beers that stand out in one of the most competitive craft markets in the country

It also reinforces something we believe deeply at River Barrel - the best craft portfolios are built on breweries that can win anywhere.

Momentum Across the Portfolio

From Living Haus’ modern hop expression, to Alesong’s mastery of barrel-aging, to Zoiglhaus dialing in world-class traditional styles, this group represents exactly where craft beer is heading:

  • Precision lagers are rising

  • Barrel-aged programs are sharper than ever

  • Classic styles are back - and winning

  • And IPA innovation isn’t slowing down

Oregon continues to be one of the most influential beer regions in the country - and we’re proud to help bring these breweries into Washington.
