Zoiglhaus is Portland's most dedicated German-style brewery, named after the Zoigl tradition of communal brewing in Bavaria. Everything they make runs through a German lens — unfiltered lagers, Hefeweizen, Dunkel, Rauchbier — and it's executed with the technical care and restraint that German styles demand. There are no shortcuts in lager brewing, and Zoiglhaus doesn't take any.

The Zoigl tradition the brewery is named for is specifically about community and sharing, which carries into the taproom culture they've built.
